A Photo Booth to Seal the Deal
Photo Booth and DJing at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott
Documenting a big day is important. How do you make sure that both you and your guests remember your wedding day? Dana and Michael had a great plan to achieve that: adding a Loyalty Photo Booth to their DJ package.
It’s not often that there’s something at a wedding that singularly captivates everyone in attendance. Usually we see a variety of guests who are interested in a variety of different big wedding moments. Some people are enthralled by the bride’s dress. Some are all about the catering. Still others are more interested in meeting the new family. Generally, there’s something everyone likes about a wedding. But it’s not often there’s one thing at a wedding that everyone likes.
We’d talked amongst ourselves in the past about how to create a wedding that was exciting for everyone on the guest list. Where everyone from younger cousins to great uncles had something they were drawn to. We’d brainstormed a few solutions, but when Dana and Michael’s wedding day came around, we saw that the answer had been right in front of us the whole time: adding a photo booth.
Creating Printable Memories
Before we talk about how amazing of a wedding this was or how much we enjoy working at the Airport Marriott (and trust us, we’ll definitely be talking about both of those things shortly), allow us to wax poetic about photo booths for a minute.
There’s something undeniably captivating about seeing everybody at a wedding, young and old, lining up to take a picture together. Then laughing together in their crazy photo booth prop hats and each pocketing a print-out. Or seeing new in-laws stepping up to the booth together and cutting loose as a new family.
In our age of digital photos, there’s still an allure to printed photos you can touch and hold in your hands. For the younger generations there’s almost a mystique to a non-smartphone picture. It’s just not something you see every day anymore. Which is a big part of what makes wedding photo booths such a hit (in our humble opinion).
Being able to physically capture fun and funny memories simply isn’t as common as it once was. So these days, it’s that nostalgia or novelty you find in a photo booth that you can’t find in many other places that makes them so magnetic.
That’s our philosophy on photo booths at least. But it’s also definitely something we saw play out at Michael and Dana’s wedding.
Pittsburgh Wedding Perfection at the Marriott
The Pittsburgh Airport Marriott is a venue we have some experience with. It’s also a venue we’re happy to recommend whenever we’re asked. It’s very accommodating to personalized decor (a wedding trend we’ve seen that’s on the rise) and very easy for wedding vendors to navigate (which isn’t something that can be said of every venue).
An easy-to-work-with wedding venue is always worth mentioning. There are so many wedding venues in Pittsburgh (and in Pennsylvania as a whole), but there are only a handful that really qualify as easy to work with. So wherever we encounter them, we always make sure to make a note of it.
The helpful and accommodating nature of the venue definitely helped make sure that everything with the wedding stayed on track, too. Typically we recommend building some amount of flexibility into your wedding day timeline. It’s impossible to foresee everything that could potentially happen when the big day finally arrives. Though we will say, part of our job as Pittsburgh wedding DJs is to try and be prepared for any eventuality so we can keep everything running smoothly no matter what’s going on.
A Wedding We Won’t Soon Forget
This was without a doubt a great venue, an am azing couple, and an unforgettable night. We had the best time mixing and providing some photo booth entertainment. This definitely is a Pittsburgh wedding we won’t soon forget, and we’re looking forward to many more great weddings in 2021!
Final Wedding Thoughts
In closing, we just wanted to say thanks. Thanks to the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott for being accommodating and so helpful and an even bigger thanks to Dana and Michael. We can’t thank them enough for letting us be a part of their wedding day. We had the best time DJing and providing the photo booth for this amazing night.
We also just wanted to say that we love what we do. Being a part of the best day of a couple’s life is something you can’t get in any other line of work. From wedding photography and videography to DJing and MCing, we’ve been involved in many capacities in many, many Pittsburgh weddings. With the coming year, we’re looking forward to being involved in many, many more!
